As you start playing Travians, you have to choose to be part of one the three tribes.  Romans, Gauls and Teutons are the three tribes you will chose from. As you choose your tribe; you will start building  up /administering your village, and attack other people for resources. The resources are important, (there are four types of resources: wood, clay, iron, and wheat) as you need them to grow your village.
